AVID
The mission of Leadership Military Academy aligns with the mission of AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) which is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
In support of this, LMA has been committed to training teachers in AVID strategies of WICOR: Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Rigor. The AVID program at LMA also includes the AVID elective, which coordinates college speakers and field trips for students.
